When viewing images, REMEMBER to adjust the brightness and contrast controls of your monitor.  Otherwise you may lose information.

The figure above was obtained by scanning the patient transvaginally in the conventional, dorsolithotomy position.  Although the endometrium is seen, it is imaged suboptimally and no internal characteristics are easily discernable. The figure above is of the same patient as the image to the left.  This exam was performed in the "procto" position.   Notice the improved visualization of the endometrium and the definite 5-line appearance.

The figure above was obtained by scanning the patient transvaginally in the conventional, dorsolithotomy position.  The endometrium is not definitely seen.  No internal characteristics are discernable. The figure above is of the same patient as the image to the left.  This exam was performed in the "procto" position.   Notice the improved visualization of the endometrium and the internal characteristics.
